Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 11, 2026

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have over your information when using DairyPro.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including farm details (farm name, county, herd information), account credentials (email, phone number, hashed password), and operational data you enter (cattle records, milk production logs, health records, feeding data). We also automatically collect usage data such as IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and session duration to improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide, maintain, and improve the DairyPro platform. This includes processing your farm data to generate reports and analytics, sending operational notifications and alerts, providing customer support, and improving our features based on usage patterns. We do not use your farm data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+). We implement access controls, regular security audits, and follow secure development practices. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. While we take all reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or farm data to third parties. We may share data with trusted service providers who assist in operating the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery) under strict confidentiality agreements. We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We may use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with the platform. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of the Service.

6. Your Data Rights

You have the right to access all data associated with your account at any time. You may export your complete farm data in standard formats (CSV, JSON) from the Settings page. You may request correction of inaccurate data or deletion of your account and all associated data. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days. For requests, contact privacy@dairypro.com.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it for longer. Anonymized, aggregated statistical data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked to individual users.

8. Children's Privacy

DairyPro is intended for use by farm owners, managers, and agricultural professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Third-Party Integrations

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (e.g., payment processors, mapping services). These third parties have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use in connection with DairyPro.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices evolve. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact & Data Requests
